Save Our Public Space!

Camas Books and Infoshop has become a home away from home as of late. Every Tuesday I meet there for the Victoria Anarchist Reading Circle. Camas, which is entirely volunteer run, also hosts a plethora of talks (most recently with author Richard Day,) all-ages shows, workshops, and community events, in addition to providing inexpensive photocopying, a wide variety of books, and more. Recently, a much needed funding grant to Camas was cut, and the shop now faces the reality of closing it's doors for good. Monday Mag ran a cover story on the situation, and I'm hoping with enough of the community behind the shop, Camas will be able to pull through. If you'd like to make a donation to Camas you can checkout their website here or stop by at 2590 Quadra St. Help save our public space!
