The Replacement

I hope I don't come off sounding like some Starbucks-drinking Apple-whore hipster, but I fucking love this new Macbook Pro. It took almost no time at all to install Serato, my audio interface, and Ableton -- just drag and drop. No configuring ASIO drivers or blue screens either -- no fits of rage or keyboard smashing. OSX and the multi-touch pad interface are very intuitive for someone with very little Mac experience (I'm adamantly anti-iPod). And there's a slew of little things that make juggling multiple DAWs and video feeds simultaneously a breeze (namely an application called Spaces.) I'll miss a few of my favourite VST(i)s and programs, but all in all, I think it's a solid investment for someone whose major focuses are music, art, and design. Now I just need to install a few more programs (ie. Open Office) and finish transferring over all my data. VEMF in t-minus 1 day!
